Youth Theater Workshops
Paul Ellis, Director/Writer for the Air Pirates Radio Theater offers teen acting workshops throughout the year.
Acting workshops are offered through the Kings Theatre Company at the Lycian Centre. Classes run throughout the year with an intensive performance program offered during the summer.
The program is designed for serious students who are committed to the process of acting. The classes are small allowing for individualized attention. Workshops have included script study through the production of one act plays, improvisation, monolog and scene study. Each summer the workshop concludes with a full production on the stage of the Pavilion at the Lycian Centre. Students must enroll through the Kings Theatre or the box office at the Lycian Centre.
The classes are held three-times a year; Fall, Spring and Summer. Fall and Spring Workshops are geared toward process and training. The Summer program turns to production and ends with a full play performance open to the public. The next session begins March 3 and will focus on movement for actors. To register call 845-469-2287
